So I finally made a page for my idea about a series of dirt road rides in the area. This has been an idea of mine for a few years now. I made the most generic title possible: Big Sky Adventure Ride Series. Long, 50+ miles. Gravel grinder is what they call these in the midwest but here I think it's different. More bigger hills, mountains, and more dirt than gravel in my experience. Anyway, I want to do these rides, and I think some other people would like to do them to. So we'll give it a try and see what happens. Because this stuff is good!

Richard Sachs is pretty interesting
Richard Sachs is fascinating to me. He makes custom bicycle frames. He has an active site and always has very interesting posts. Here is his latest.

Feeling Wintery
Skiing up Bear Canyon after work last night in 0 degree temps and fresh snow. It was fantastic! It is staying light a tiny bit later every day and I only needed the headlamp on the way back down. Getting these skis has been the best thing. Last year it hardly snowed and was so warm I was able to keep riding bikes all winter. This year it is real winter with snow and cold. So skiing it is!

Suffering
suf·fer·ing (s f r- ng, s f r ng). n. 1. The condition of one who suffers; the bearing of pain or distress. 2. An instance of pain or distress. 3. The Crusher in the Tushar bicycle race: 70 miles and 10,400ft elevation gain.
Hell of a race to enter for someone who is as bad at climbing as I am. As of 7pm this evening I have signed up for this ridiculous event. Apparently racing the Butte 50 3 times got old and I required a change of pace. Being that it is in Utah and I am in Montana, just getting to the race and back will be a challenging event in itself. Since I only have 5 hours of training in 2013 so far, I am only like 500 hours behind year to date, in order to not die at this race.
